Abstract
【解決手段】 医療機器用ケーブルは、光学絶縁されたシリアル伝送ケーブルであり、ベース機器はシリアルポートその他を介して医療機器に接続するのに使用され、ケーブルの自動検出を可能にする。ベース機器を使用して、ケーブルの電子部品に給電する。また、ケーブルを医療機器とベース機器に接続する際にユーザを支援するグラフィカルおよびテキストメッセージ表示によって、インターフェースケーブルがサポートされる。

Claims (21)
- 医療機器をベース機器に接続するためのケーブルであって、
前記ケーブルの第1のエンドを前記ベース機器に接続するためのシリアルポートコネクタと、
前記ケーブルの第2のエンドを前記医療機器に接続するための第2のコネクタと、
前記医療機器を前記ベース機器から絶縁する光学絶縁回路と
を具えたことを特徴とするケーブル。 - 前記ベース機器内に、前記光学絶縁回路に電力を供給する電源をさらに具えたことを特徴とする請求項1記載のケーブル。
- 前記複数のシリアルポートのうちの前記ケーブルが接続されている前記シリアルポートを自動的に検出するため、前記ベース機器によって使用されるループバック回路をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項2記載のケーブル。
- 前記ループバック回路は、前記ベース機器からの信号に応答して、信号を前記ベース機器に供給し、
前記信号は、前記ベース機器によって解釈され、前記解釈された信号に関連するグラフィカル表示が、ユーザに提示されることを特徴とする請求項3記載のケーブル。 - 前記グラフィカル表示は、前記ケーブルが前記ベース機器、前記医療機器、またはその両方に適切に接続されていない箇所を通知することを特徴とする請求項4記載のケーブル。
- 前記シリアルポートコネクタは、汎用シリアルバスコネクタであることを特徴とする請求項1記載のケーブル。
- 前記シリアルポートコネクタは、RS−232Cコネクタであることを特徴とする請求項1記載のケーブル。
- データを転送するために医療機器をベース機器に接続するためのケーブルであって、
前記ケーブルの第1のエンドを前記ベース機器に接続するためのシリアルポートコネクタと、
前記ケーブルの第2のエンドを前記医療機器に接続するための第2のコネクタと、
前記医療機器を前記ベース機器から絶縁する光学絶縁回路であって、前記ベース機器から電力を受け取る光学絶縁回路と
を具えたことを特徴とするケーブル。 - 所定の条件が満たされた後、前記光学絶縁回路への給電を止めることを特徴とする請求項8記載のケーブル。
- 前記所定の条件は、前記医療機器と前記ベース機器との間で要求されたすべてのデータが転送されたとき満たされることを特徴とする請求項9記載のケーブル。
- 前記医療機器は、前記ケーブルに供給する電力量を削減することを特徴とする請求項9記載のケーブル。
- 前記シリアルポートコネクタは、汎用シリアルバスコネクタであることを特徴とする請求項8記載のケーブル。
- 前記シリアルポートコネクタは、RS−232Cコネクタであることを特徴とする請求項8記載のケーブル。
- 病状治療機器をベース機器に接続するためのケーブルであって、
前記ベース機器の複数のシリアルポートの1つに接続するシリアルポートコネクタと、
前記病状治療機器を前記ベース機器から絶縁する光学絶縁回路と、
前記複数のシリアルポートのうちの前記病状治療機器が接続されている前記シリアルポートを自動的に識別するために使用されるループバック回路と
を具えたことを特徴とするケーブル。 - 前記ベース機器によって前記ベース機器のシリアルポートを介して前記ケーブルに送信されたデータをシリアルポートに戻し、前記接続機器が前記病状治療機器に接続されていることを確認することを特徴とする請求項14記載のケーブル。
- 前記シリアルポートを自動的に識別するために使用される前記ループバック回路は、前記病状治療機器が前記ベース機器または前記ケーブルに接続されているかどうかをユーザが目や耳で確認できるように表示されるグラフィカル表示のための信号を提供することを特徴とする請求項15記載のケーブル。
- 前記病状治療機器が病状に関するデータを前記ベース機器に送信できるように、前記ループバック回路への給電を止めることを特徴とする請求項14記載のケーブル。
- 前記病状治療機器によって前記接続機器に供給される電力量を削減する前記光学絶縁回路への給電を止めることを特徴とする請求項14記載のケーブル。
- 前記シリアルポートコネクタは、汎用シリアルバスコネクタであることを特徴とする請求項14に記載のケーブル。
- 前記シリアルポートコネクタは、RS−232Cコネクタであることを特徴とする請求項14記載のケーブル。
- 医療機器をベース機器に接続するためのケーブルであって、
