Abstract
【解決手段】メルトブローン製法を用いて、3ミクロン〜12ミクロンの孔径を有する孔を画成するフィルタ媒体をつくることを含む。フィルタ媒体は熱可塑性ポリマーからつくられ、内燃機関エンジンのエアフィルタに用いられるように適合される。メルトブローン製法においてメルトブローン繊維をフィルタ媒体に成形するためにプロフィール24が用いられる。

Description
フィルタ媒体の形成に用いられる技術に固有の上記の欠点を考慮して、本発明は、ICエンジンエアフィルタに用いるように適合されたフィルタ媒体であって、3ミクロン〜12ミクロンの孔径を有する孔を画成するフィルタ媒体をメルトブローン製法を用いて形成する方法を提供する。本発明は、また、ICエンジンエアフィルタに用いられるように適合されたフィルタ媒体を提供する。
Claims (20)
- 内燃機関エンジンのエアフィルタに用いられるように適合された多孔質のフィルタ媒体をつくる方法であって、
熱可塑性ポリマーを加熱して溶融物を生成するステップと、
溶融物をダイヘッドの複数の開口部を通して押し出すステップと、
1以上の熱流体流を押し出された溶融物に向け、それにより、多数の繊維を形成し、かつ、繊維を、3次元プロフィールを含む面を有する収集手段に向けて吹き付けるステップと、
収集手段の面上で繊維を収集し、プロフィールを用いて繊維を、少なくとも1つの褶曲部を有するフィルタ媒体に成形するステップと、
フィルタ媒体をプロフィールから取り外すステップと、
を含む方法。 - フィルタ媒体が、3ミクロン〜12ミクロンの孔径を有する複数の孔を画成する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 収集手段の面がプロフィールを画成し、プロフィールが少なくとも1つの褶曲部を有する請求項2に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1つのプロフィールが収集手段の面に取り外し可能に取り付けられ、プロフィールが少なくとも1つの褶曲部を有する請求項2に記載の方法。
- 収集手段が回転可能なドラムである請求項1に記載の方法。
- さらに、繊維を収集しているときにドラムを回転させるステップを含む請求項5に記載の方法。
- 収集手段がコンベヤである請求項1に記載の方法。
- さらに、繊維を収集しているときにコンベヤを作動させるステップを含む請求項7に記載の方法。
- 熱流体が空気である請求項1に記載の方法。
- 内燃機関エアフィルタに用いられるように適合された熱可塑性ポリマーのフィルタ媒体を製造するためのプロセスであって、熱可塑性ポリマーにメルトブローンを行ってメルトブローン繊維を形成するステップと、繊維を、3次元プロフィールを含む面を有する収集手段上に収集するステップと、プロフィールを用いて繊維を、少なくとも1つの褶曲部と、3ミクロン〜12ミクロンの孔径を有する複数の孔と、を画成するフィルタ媒体に成形するステップと、フィルタ媒体を収集手段から取り外すステップと、を含むプロセス。
- メルトブローンステップが、熱可塑性ポリマーを加熱して溶融物を生成するステップと、溶融物を、ダイヘッドの複数の開口部を通して押し出すステップと、1以上の熱流体流を押し出された溶融物に向け、それにより多数の繊維を形成し、かつ繊維を収集手段に向けて吹き付けるステップと、を含む請求項10に記載のプロセス。
- 収集手段の面が、少なくとも1つの褶曲部を有するプロフィールを画成する請求項11に記載のプロセス。
- 少なくとも1つのプロフィールが収集手段の面に着脱可能に取り付けられ、プロフィールが少なくとも1つの褶曲部を有する請求項11に記載のプロセス。
- 収集手段が回転可能なドラムである請求項11に記載のプロセス。
- さらに、繊維を収集しているときにドラムを回転させるステップを含む請求項14に記載のプロセス。

少なくとも1つの褶曲部を画成し、かつ3ミクロン〜12ミクロンの孔径を有する複数の孔を画成する3次元熱可塑性ポリマー網状材料を含む多孔質フィルタ媒体。 - 前記フィルタ媒体が内燃機関エンジンのエアフィルタに用いられるように適合されている請求項19に記載のフィルタ媒体。
