Abstract

Claims (11)
- 第1のイントロデューサを新しいイントロデューサに交換する際に、前記新しいイントロデューサの遠端が血管壁の穿刺孔を介して血管内部に配置されるとともに、前記新しいイントロデューサの近端が患者の皮膚の外側に配置されるように、該新しいイントロデューサを挿入するためのガイドロッドであって、
近端と遠端との間の所定の長さを有するとともに、前記所定の長さに対して直交方向に所定の断面寸法を有するロッドを備え、
前記所定の断面寸法は、前記新しいイントロデューサが前記ロッド上に通される際に該新しいイントロデューサに前記ロッドの外周が密接するような大きさであり、
前記所定の長さは、前記新しいイントロデューサを前記ロッドの前記近端から前記遠端に向かって摺動させてガイドする大きさであり、
前記ロッドの遠位部は、前記新しいイントロデューサの挿入のために前記ロッドの前記遠端が血管の内部に残っているときに、前記穿刺孔の周囲の前記血管壁を支える大きさであることを特徴とするガイドロッド。 - 前記ロッドの前記遠位部は可撓性を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のガイドロッド。
- 前記ロッドの近位部は可撓性を有しないことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のガイドロッド。
- 前記遠位部は鈍端を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一つに記載のガイドロッド。
- 前記近位部はテーパ端を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一つに記載のガイドロッド。
- 前記遠位部は、前記第1のイントロデューサ内を通過した後でその湾曲形状を取り戻すように、予め湾曲させることができることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか一つに記載のガイドロッド。
- 前記イントロデューサの内径に等しいか、ほぼ等しい直径を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか一つに記載のガイドロッド。
- 前記血管壁の穿刺孔の直径に等しいか、ほぼ等しい直径を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか一つに記載のガイドロッド。
- 測定目盛をさらに備えたことを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか一つに記載のガイドロッド。
- 長手方向に沿って表面に溝を設けたことを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか一つに記載のガイドロッド。
- 長手方向に沿って内部穴を設けたことを特徴とする請求項1〜10のいずれか一つに記載のガイドロッド。
