Abstract
【解決手段】 紙管用原紙を管状に成形した鋳物製造用部品であり、有機繊維、無機繊維及びバインダーを含有する。前記紙管用原紙を巻回して管状に成形することが好ましい。有機繊維の含有量は10〜70重量部が好ましく、前記無機繊維の含有量は1〜80重量部が好ましく、前記バインダーの含有量は10〜85重量部が好ましい。前記有機繊維は、パルプ繊維が好ましい。

Description
前記有機繊維としては、紙繊維のほか、フィブリル化した合成繊維、再生繊維(例えば、レーヨン繊維)等が挙げられ、これらの繊維を単独で又は二種以上を混合して用いることができる。そして、これらの中でも、特に、入手が容易且つ安定的に行え、製造費用を抑えることができるほか、脱水後と乾燥後に十分な強度が得られる点から紙繊維を用いることが好ましい。
前記有機バインダーとしては、フェノール樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、フラン樹脂等の熱硬化性樹脂が挙げられる。そして、これらの中でも、特に、可燃ガスの発生量が少なく、燃焼し難く、熱分解(炭化)後における残炭率が高い等の点からフェノール樹脂が好ましい。更に、該フェノール樹脂の中でも、硬化剤の必要が無く、本発明の鋳物製造用部品に含浸が可能なレゾールタイプ樹脂が好ましい。
前記無機バインダーとしては、コロイダルシリカ、黒曜石、ムライト、真珠岩、エチルシリケート、水ガラス等のSiO2を主成分とする化合物が挙げられる。そして、これらの中でも、特に、単独で使用できることや塗布のし易さ等の点からコロイダルシリカを用いることが好ましい。また、浸炭防止の点からは特に黒曜石を用いることが好ましい。前記無機バインダーは単独で又は二以上を混合して用いることもできる。
また、前記バインダーとして黒曜石を用いる場合には、全バインダー中に少なくとも20重量部を含ませることが好ましい。前記バインダーとして黒曜石のみを用いることもできる。
紙力強化材の添加量は、前記有機繊維重量の1〜20%、特に2〜10%が好ましい。
紙力強化材としては、ポリビニルアルコール、カルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC)、カイメン(ポリアミドアミンエピクロルヒドリン樹脂)等が挙げられる。
先ず、前記有機繊維、前記無機繊維及び前記バインダーを所定の分散媒に分散させることにより原料スラリーを調製する。なお、バインダーは、紙管用原紙を抄紙して脱水、乾燥させた後、或いはさらに紙管用原紙を紙管に成形した後に、該紙管に含浸により含ませることができるため、必要に応じて原料スラリーへのバインダーの添加を省略することもできる。
紙管用原紙の抄紙方法には、例えば、連続抄紙式である円網抄紙機、長網抄紙機、短網抄紙機、ツインワイヤー抄紙機などを用いた抄紙方法、バッチ方式の抄紙方法である手漉法等の抄紙方法を採用することができる。
このように紙管を成形した後にバインダーを含浸させることで、原料スラリーへのバインダーの添加を省略することも可能である。
下記原料スラリーを用いて下記のように抄紙、脱水し、さらに乾燥して厚み1mm、坪量440g/m2の紙管用原紙を得た。得られた紙管用原紙から下記のよう紙管を作製した。この紙管に下記のようにバインダーを含浸させて乾燥・熱硬化させ、下記物性を有する湯口用のランナー(鋳物製造用部品、重量約30g)を得た。
下記配合の有機繊維と無機繊維を水に分散させて約1%(水に対し、有機繊維及び無機繊維の合計重量が1重量%)のスラリーを調製した後、該スラリーに下記バインダーと下記凝集剤とを添加し、有機繊維、無機繊維、及びバインダーの混合比(重量比)が下記の値の原料スラリーを得た。
有機繊維:新聞古紙、平均繊維長が1mm、フリーネス(CSF、以下同じ。)が150cc
無機繊維:炭素繊維(東レ(株)製、商品名:「トレカチョップ」)、繊維長3mmの繊維をビータにかけ、有機繊維と無機繊維が重量混合比で26:8のスラリーをフリーネスが300ccに調整した。
無機バインダー:黒曜石(キンセイマテック社製「ナイスキャッチ」)
有機バインダー:エポキシ系フェノール樹脂(住友ベークライト株式会社製)
凝集剤:ポリアクリルアミド系凝集剤(三井サイテック社製、A110)
分散媒:水
有機繊維、無機繊維、無機バインダー、有機バインダーの重量混合比=26:8:48:18
上記原料組成物を用い、傾斜型短網抄紙機によってライン速度1.5m/分で抄紙して湿潤状態の紙シートを作製した。
得られた紙シートをフェルトで挟持して該紙シートを吸引しながら脱水し、それを120℃の加熱ロール間にライン速度1.5m/分で通し、該紙シートの含水率を5重量%以下にした。
得られた紙管用原紙を裁断して幅がそれぞれ54.4mm、54.8mm、55.2mm、55.6mm及び56.0mmの5つの帯状物を得、まず幅が最小の帯状物を螺旋状に巻回して紙管とし、その上にさらにその他の4つの帯状物を幅の小さい順に順次螺旋状に巻回して内径が約30mm、密度1.0g/cm3の紙管を作製した。この場合、帯状物同士は接着剤で接合した。
前記の紙管を200℃の乾燥炉に約60分入れて乾燥し、ランナーを得た。
厚み:1.0mm
実施例1で得られたランナーを用い、図2に示すような注湯系を構成し、これを用いて鋳型を形成して溶湯(1400℃)を受け口から注入した。
受け口への吹き戻しや揚がりからの激しい火炎は観測されなかった。また、鋳込み後、鋳型を解体したときは、ランナーは中で凝固した金属のまわりをきれいに覆っており、その後のブラスト処理により該ランナーは容易に除去できた。

Claims (11)
- 紙管用原紙を管状に成形した鋳物製造用部品であって、有機繊維、無機繊維及びバインダーを含有する鋳物製造用部品。
- 前記紙管用原紙を巻回して管状に成形した請求項1記載の鋳物製造用部品。
- 前記有機繊維の含有量が10〜70重量部であり、前記無機繊維の含有量が1〜80重量部であり、前記バインダーの含有量が10〜85重量部であり、且つ、前記有機繊維、前記無機繊維及び前記バインダーの含有量の合計が100重量部である請求項1又は2記載の鋳物製造用部品。
- 前記バインダーに融点の異なる二以上のバインダーを含んでいる請求項1〜3の何れかに記載の鋳物製造用部品。
- 前記バインダーが有機バインダー及び/又は無機バインダーである請求項1〜4の何れかに記載の鋳物製造用部品。
- 前記無機バインダーがSiO2を主成分とする化合物である請求項5記載の鋳物製造用部品。
