Abstract
【解決手段】本方法は、これらの植物栄養素を含む濃縮物の減圧蒸留、処理および精製の工程を含んでなり、アルキルエステルに対して温度80℃〜220℃および圧力40ミリトル未満で少なくとも一段の減圧蒸留を行う。このカロチン濃縮物に対して種々の物理・化学的処理を行うと、固有のジアシルグリセロールがユビキノンリッチの高濃度カロチン濃縮物が得られる。

Description
本発明は、天然のエステル化油脂からカロチン、ユビキノンおよびリン脂質などのカロチン濃縮物を回収する方法に関し、また特に、限定されるものではないが、粗パーム油およびパーム油製品を含む。
粗パーム油ならびに脱ガム・漂白したパーム油のエステル化/エステル交換は、遊離脂肪酸およびアシルグリセロールをアルキルエステルリッチ層へ変換するのに十分な条件下でアルカリ性触媒の存在下、アルキルアルコールを用いて行い、もう一度再エステル交換を行うか、清浄な水で洗浄して中和する。エステル化したパーム油には一段または多段の減圧蒸留を行う。
第一段の減圧蒸留から得られたカロチンリッチアルキルエステル層を濾過するかまたは炭化水素溶剤で処理してモノアシルグリセロールを除去する。この濾液に対して二次減圧蒸留を行ってカロチン濃縮物を製造する。
次の減圧蒸留の前には最小量のパーム油エチルエステルを、処理したカロチンリッチアルキルエステル(この場合メチルエステル)に加える。生成されたカロチン濃縮物はリン脂質を含むジアシルグリセロール中にユビキノンをリッチに含む。さらに精製するには、疎水性および親水性溶媒を用いてカロチン濃縮物の処理を行う。所望のカロチン画分濃縮物を得るために濃縮物を鹸化してもよい。油をアルキルエステルへ変換する前に粗パーム油を膜濾過することでリン脂質も回収される。

- i)パーム油より生成したアルキルエステルを温度範囲80〜220℃および圧力40ミリトル未満で少なくとも一段の減圧蒸留に付し、残渣として植物栄養素濃縮物を得る工程と、
ii)工程(i)の残渣から極性脂質と他の不純物を分離する工程と、
iii)工程(ii)で得られた処理残渣を二次減圧蒸留に付す工程であって、この蒸留で得られた残渣にカロチン、ユビキノン、およびリン脂質からなるカロチン濃縮物が含まれる工程を含んでなることを特徴とする、カロチン濃縮物回収方法。 - 二次減圧蒸留が温度範囲80〜200℃および圧力40ミリトル未満で実施される、請求項1記載のカロチン濃縮物回収方法。
- 工程ii)における極性脂質と他の不純物の分離が、
i)請求項1の工程(i)の残渣を炭化水素溶剤で処理し、次にアルキルアルコール/処理水の精製を行い、あるいは行わずに、モノアシルグリセロールを除去する;または
ii)請求項1の工程(i)の残渣を、アルカリ性触媒を用いて再びエステル交換し、微量のアシルグリセロールをアルキルエステルおよびグリセロールに変換する;または
iii)請求項1の工程(i)の残渣を直接減圧濾過することからなるいずれの方法でなされる、請求項1記載のカロチン濃縮物回収方法。 - 工程(i)の混合物を少なくとも2時間低温まで冷却し、残渣からモノアシルグリセロールを分離する、請求項3記載のカロチン濃縮物回収方法。
- 工程(ii)の再エステル交換に用いられるアルカリ性触媒が、メタノールおよびエタノールなど短鎖分枝アルキルアルコールの存在下で、水酸化ナトリウム、水酸化カリウムおよびナトリウムメトキシドなどからなる群から選択される、請求項3記載のカロチン濃縮物回収方法。
- 二次減圧蒸留の前に工程(iii)の処理残渣に2%のパーム油エチルエステルを加える、請求項3記載のカロチン濃縮物回収方法。
- カロチン濃縮物を、
i)エタノール中の水酸化カリウムなどのアルキルアルコールの存在下でアルカリ性触媒を添加する;または
ii)炭化水素溶剤およびアルキルアルコールを添加し、-10℃まで少なくとも1時間冷却してカロチンを炭化水素層へ分離するのいずれかによってさらに精製する、請求項1記載のカロチン濃縮物回収方法。 - 用いる炭化水素溶剤がヘキサンまたはイソオクタンであって、用いるアルキルアルコールがメタノールおよびエタノールなどの短鎖分枝アルキルアルコールである、請求項3および7に記載のカロチン濃縮物回収方法。
- アルキルエステルが粗パーム油、または漂白脱ガムパーム油などの処理パーム油、ならびに膜濾過したパーム油から生成される、請求項1記載のカロチン濃縮物回収方法。
- pH4〜5の間の酸性水を用いて、生成したアルキルエステル中の過剰なアルカリ性触媒の除去を行う、請求項9記載のカロチン濃縮物回収方法。
- 請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の方法で生成物されるカロチン、ユビキノン、およびリン脂質。
