体から構成された水晶体について記載している。この部分的水晶体は、水晶体の
外側形状を形成し、水晶体嚢と置換する。このため、当該水晶体を眼の適応機構
に接続することが困難となっている。さらに、当該水晶体の機械的性能は天然の
水晶体(natuerlichen Linse)の性能と非常に異なっており、このことが前記適
応をさらに困難としている。 米国特許5,275,623号に、2個の水晶体を有するバッグで構成された
水晶体インプラントが開示されている。このバッグには、気体または液体が充填
されている。しかし、その対称性のゆえに、この水晶体は天然の水晶体の特性と
は必然的に異なる特性を示すので、それは、実際に満足できるものではない。

凸状であること、遠位表面が4.6〜7.5mmの間の曲率半径を有する凸状で
あること、および水晶体インプラントが2.8〜5.5mmの間の厚さを有する
ことを特徴とする請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の水晶体インプラント。 - 【請求項13】 天然の水晶体本体の大きさと形状を実質的に有するような
方法で当該水晶体本体の大きさと形状としたことを特徴とする請求項1〜12の
いずれかに記載の水晶体インプラント。 - 【請求項14】 無限に適応する天然の水晶体本体の大きさと形状を実質的
に有するような方法で当該水晶体インプラントの大きさと形状としたことを特徴

インプラントを製造するためのキット。 - 【請求項18】 複数の水晶体部分が互いに異なる屈折率を有することを特
徴とする請求項17記載のキット。 - 【請求項19】 充填材料が流動可能状態から弾性的な変形可能状態に硬化
可能であることを特徴とする請求項17または18のいずれかに記載のキット。 - 【請求項20】 水晶体部分の少なくとも一部が予め成形され、充填可能な
バッグ(11a)から構成されることを特徴とする請求項17〜19のいずれか
に記載のキット。 - 【請求項21】 下記の工程よりなることを特徴とする水晶体インプラント
によって眼の水晶体本体を交換する方法。 水晶体本体を眼の水晶体嚢から除去する工程、 水晶体インプラントの遠位部分を形成するために、固体で、弾性的で変形
可能な水晶体部分(11)を水晶体嚢(2)に導入する工程、および 水晶体インプラントの近位部分(10)を形成させるために、流動性の充
填材料を変形可能な水晶体部分(11)の近位側で水晶体嚢中に導入する工程。 - 【請求項22】 流動性の材料が眼球内で硬化することを特徴とする請求項
21記載の方法。 - 【請求項23】 流動性材料の硬化時に、眼が無限に適応することを特徴と
する請求項21または22に記載の方法。 - 【請求項24】 固体で弾性的で変形可能な水晶体部分(11)を眼の性質
から決定した所望の屈折率にしたがって様々な異なる屈折率を有する水晶体部分
の中から選択する工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項21〜23のいずれかに記
載の方法。 - 【請求項25】 水晶体インプラントが、除去された水晶体本体と実質的に
同一の容積を有するように所定量の流動性の充填材料を水晶体嚢に導入すること
