本発明は、チャンネルをサーチする方法と衛星受信機に関する。

【従来の技術】
EP-A-0821523には、ディジタルテレビジョン信号受信機においてサービステー
ブルを現在放送中のチャンネル番号により構成する方法が記載されている。周波
数帯全体に渡って速いサーチが行われる印象をユーザに与えるために、+(-)ボタ
ンを連続して押圧することによりチャンネル番号のみが増大し(減少し)、そして
、+/-ボタンが解放されるときのみ、選択されたチャンネルのチャンネル周波数
が実際に選択され、選択されたビデオ／オーディオ情報が得られる。
【０００３】 この既知の方法と受信機の不利な点は、あるチャンネルを得るためには、依然
として同じ時間が必要で、より速いサーチの印象しか得られない点である。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明の目的は、この従来技術の欠点を解決する方法と受信機を提供すること
である。
【０００５】 この目的に対し、本発明の第一態様は請求項1において定義された方法を提供
する。
【０００６】 本発明の第二態様は、請求項2において定義された受信機を提供する。
【０００７】 ユーザルックアップテーブルに格納されているサービスチャンネルからの既存
の伝送システムについての情報を使用することにより、サーチ時間はかなり減少
する(この方法の第一ステップ)。さらに、この方法の第二ステップを使用するこ
とにより、受信機ルックアップテーブルが、ユーザルックアップテーブルを更新
するために使用される。関連するバンドについてのサーチは、その時点で受信機
に知らされている伝送パラメータのサブセットのみによって、実行されなければ
ならない。例えば、この受信機ルックアップテーブルは、チップに格納させるこ
とができる。種々の衛星の情報がしばらくして変更される場合には、更新された
チップを供給することも可能である。この方法の最後の(第三)ステップは、チャ
ンネルサーチの現在の従来技術を有する。

【００１１】 図1は、本発明の方法の具体例のフローチャートを示す。ブロック1において、
所定の衛星チャンネルに対するサーチが、開始される。この方法は、時間の経過
と共に3つのステップを有する。第一ステップ(I)では、ブロック3において、サ
ービスチャンネルが見出されるか否かが、決定される。見出されると(Y)、ユー
ザルックアップテーブルはサービスチャンネル情報により更新される(ブロック5
)。このサービスチャンネルは、特定情報、すなわち、その衛星(すなわち、AST
RA)により伝送される全てのチャンネルのキャリア周波数、偏波、軌道位置、符
号レートと情報点率を含むことができる。所定のチャンネルが見出されると(Y)
、サーチを終了させることができる(ブロック7)。そうでない場合には、サーチ
は第二ステップ(II)により続行される。つまり、衛星受信機における受信機ルッ
クアップテーブル内の所定のチャンネルが、サーチされる(ブロック9)。受信機
ルックアップテーブルは、その時点で受信機に使用可能であった種々の衛星の伝
送パラメータについての全ての情報を含む。この情報は、チャンネル情報、すな
わち、各使用可能な衛星(すなわち、ASTRA、eutelsatなど)により伝送される全
てのチャンネルのキャリア周波数、偏波、軌道位置、符号レートおよび情報点率
を含むことができる。この受信機ルックアップテーブルは、受信機内のチップに
格納させることができる。例えば、種々の衛星についての情報がしばらくして変
更された場合には、新たなチップを供給することも可能である。ブロック11にお
いて、所定のチャンネルが、見出されるか否かが決定される。見出されると(Y)
、サーチは終了させることができる(ブロック7)。そうでない場合には、バンド
全体についてのサーチが、第三ステップ(III)により実行されなければならない(
ブロック13)。所定のチャンネルが見出されると、サーチは終了させることがで
きる(ブロック7)。
【００１２】 図2は、衛星受信機が、衛星アンテナAN(図示せず)からRF信号を受信する入力
端1を有する、本発明の衛星受信機SRの図式的な具体例を示す。この入力端は、
受信されたチャンネルを出力する同調ユニット3に結合されている。衛星受信機
は、更に、衛星チャンネルの復調のための復調手段51を有する復調器ユニット5
を含む。この復調ユニットは、更に、制御手段53とユーザルックアップテーブル
と受信機ルックアップテーブルを格納する格納手段55を含む。さらに、この方法
のアルゴリズムは、例えば、RAMに格納される。
【００１３】 この制御手段の制御の下に、本発明のこの方法は、衛星受信機SRにおいて実行
される。
【００１４】 受信機ルックアップテーブルは、チップ(図示せず)内で実施させることができ
る。衛星についての情報が変更されている場合、それに関するチップを、置換さ
せることが出来る。出力端7で、衛星受信機SRは、テレビジョン受信機TV(図示せ
ず)に衛星チャンネルを出力する。

Claims (3)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 サービスチャンネルが、見出されると、ユーザルックアップテーブルを前記サ
    ービスチャンネルにより更新し、そして所定の衛星チャンネルをサーチし、所定
    のチャンネルが見出されると、サーチを終了させる、受信されたサービスチャン
    ネルをサーチする第一ステップと、 サービスチャンネルおよび／または所定のチャンネルが見出されない場合、受
    信機ルックアップテーブルにより前記ユーザルックアップテーブルを更新し、そ
    して所定のチャンネルをサーチし、所定のチャンネルが見出されると、サーチを
    終了させる第二ステップと、 見出されない場合には、所定のチャンネルを見出すために関連する周波数帯を
    サーチし、かつ見出された所定のチャンネルによりユーザルックアップテーブル
    を更新する第三ステップとを、 有する少なくとも一つの所定の衛星チャンネルをサーチする方法。
  2. 【請求項２】 衛星アンテナからのRF信号を受信しかつ衛星チャンネルを出力する同調ユニッ
    トと、 前記衛星チャンネルを復調する復調手段を有する復調ユニットと、 衛星チャンネルを格納するユーザルックアップテーブルを格納する制御手段お
    よび格納手段と、 所定の衛星チャンネル情報を格納する受信機ルックアップテーブルと、 を有する衛星チャンネルを受信する受信機。
  3. 【請求項３】 前記検索手段が、請求項1の前記方法を使用するように構成されていることを
    特徴とする請求項2の受信機。
