しかも消音性能のよい消音器を提供することを課題とす
る。 【解決手段】消音器６のケーシング７内を隔壁８によっ
て拡張室９と共鳴室１０とに分け、隔壁には拡張室から
共鳴パイプが共鳴室に向けて差出され、エンジン吸気通
路は拡張室側に連絡しているエンジン吸気系の消音器。

【発明の詳細な説明】

【発明の属する技術分野】本発明はエンジン吸気系の消
音器に関するものである。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】従来は、図２に示すようにエンジン(1)
の吸気経路(2) には拡張型消音器(3)と共鳴型消音器(4)
とが挿入され、エアクリーナー(5) が介在している。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】上記従来の構成では拡
張型消音器(3) と共鳴型消音器(4) との二つの消音器が
挿入されているからそのためのスペースが必要であり、
スペースのない場合には拡張型消音器(3) を省略して共
鳴型消音器(4) のみを挿入する。しかし共鳴型消音器
(4) のみを挿入した場合には消音性能が悪化すると云う
問題点がある。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は上記従来の課題
を解決するための手段として、エンジン(1) の吸気経路
(2) に挿入される消音器(6) であって、ケーシング(7)
と、該ケーシング(7)中に隔壁(8) によって区分される
拡張室(9) と共鳴室(10)とからなり、該隔壁(8) には該
拡張室(9) から共鳴パイプ(11)が該共鳴室(10)に向けて
差出され、エンジン吸気経路(2) は該拡張室(9) 側に連
絡しているエンジン吸気系の消音器(6)を提供するもの
である。

【作用】本発明では一つの消音器(6) で拡張型と共鳴型
とを兼備えるので、消音性能に優れかつスペースも最小
限にとどめられる。

【実施例】本発明を図１に示す一実施例によって説明す
れば、エンジン(1) の吸気経路(2) にはエアクリーナー
(5) が介在され、消音器(6) が挿入される。該消音器
(6)はケーシング(7) と該ケーシング(7) 中に隔壁(8)
によって区分される拡張室(9) と共鳴室(10)とからな
り、該隔壁(8) には該拡張室(9) から該共鳴室(10)に向
けて共鳴パイプ(11)が差出されており、該消音器(6) は
該拡張室(9) 側でエンジン吸気経路(2) に連絡してい
る。上記構成では吸気にもとずく騒音は該消音器(6) の
拡張室(9) と共鳴室(10)とによって低減される。

【発明の効果】本発明では一つの消音器で拡張型消音器
と共鳴型消音器とを兼備えるので、スペースをとらずか
つ消音性能に優れる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】エンジンの吸気経路に挿入される消音器で
    あって、ケーシングと、該ケーシング中に隔壁によって
    区分される拡張室と共鳴室とからなり、該隔壁には該拡
    張室から共鳴パイプが該共鳴室に向けて差出され、エン
    ジン吸気経路は該拡張室側に連絡していることを特徴と
    するエンジン吸気系の消音器
