載用機器の通信システム２０の構成の概略を示す構成図
である。実施例の車載用機器の通信システム２０は、図
示するように、助手席前方に取り付けられたエアコンユ
ニット３０のコントローラ３２と車両の中央コンソール
上方に取り付けられたヒーターコントロールパネル４０
との間で行なわれるエアコンの制御や駆動に関する信号
やサイドミラー５０とヒーターコントロールパネル４０
の下方に取り付けられサイドミラー５０の駆動指示を行
なうミラースイッチを有するインテグレーションパネル
５２との間で行なわれるサイドミラー５０の駆動に関す
る信号，中央コンソールに取り付けられたコンソールス
イッチ５４やリヤヒータコントローラ５６とコンソール
スイッチ５４に関係する機器の状態やリヤヒータの状態
を表示する表示部を有するインテグレーションパネル５
２との間の制御信号などを赤外線通信により通信する通
信システムとして構成されている。

コントローラ３２やヒーターコントロールパネル４０に
出力する。赤外線送受信部３８，４８における双方向送
受信の通信路は、前述したように空調用のダクト２２が
用いられる。

クト２２を通信路として行なわれ、コンソールスイッチ
５４またはリヤヒータコントローラ５６とインテグレー
ションパネル５２との間の赤外線通信は、中央コンソー
ルに設けられたアクリル，ペット，塩化ビニルなどによ
り形成された中空パイプなどを通信路として行なわれ
る。なお、両通信システムのハード構成は、インテグレ
ーションパネル５２が複数の赤外線送受信部を備えて複
数の車載用機器（実施例ではサイドミラー５０やコンソ
ールスイッチ５４，リヤヒータコントローラ５６）と通
信を行なう点を除いてエアコンユニット３０のコントロ
ーラ３２とヒーターコントロールパネル４０との間の赤
外線通信による通信システムのハード構成と同様である
から、その説明は省略する。

信を行なう点を除いてエアコンユニット３０のコントロ
ーラ３２とヒーターコントロールパネル４０との間の赤
外線通信による通信システムのハード構成と同様である

有線の通信による場合に比して、エアコンユニット３０
やコントローラ３２，ヒーターコントロールパネル４
０，サイドミラー５０，インテグレーションパネル５
２，コンソールスイッチ５４，リヤヒータコントローラ
５６などの車両への組み付け性を向上させることができ
る。また、断線による通信不良を回避することができ、
通信精度を向上させることができる。さらに、的確に通
信するために有線による通信では必要なインピーダンス
マッチングや他の車載用機器との干渉を考慮しなくても
よい。この結果、開発時の間接工数の低減を図ることが
できる。この他、有線による通信で生じる線路における
ノイズの影響を回避することもできる。また、エアコン
ユニット３０のコントローラ３２とヒーターコントロー
ルパネル４０との間で行なわれる通信やサイドミラー５
０とインテグレーションパネル５２との間で行なわれる
通信に用いられる通信路としてヒーターコントロールパ
ネル４０の後方に設けられた空調用のダクト２２を用い
るから、特に通信路を設置する必要がない。

なわれるエアコンの制御や駆動，状態に関する信号の通

ローラ５６とインテグレーションパネル５２との間の制
御信号の通信を赤外線通信によって行なうことにより、
有線の通信による場合に比して、エアコンユニット３０
やコントローラ３２，ヒーターコントロールパネル４
０，サイドミラー５０，インテグレーションパネル５
２，コンソールスイッチ５４，リヤヒータコントローラ
５６などの車両への組み付け性を向上させることができ

とすれば、操作部に赤外線放射素子のみを有する赤外線
送信部を設けると共に車載用機器に赤外線受光素子のみ
を有する赤外線受信部を設けるものとしてもよい。

送信部を設けると共に車載用機器に赤外線受光素子のみ
を有する赤外線受信部を設けるものとしてもよい。
【００２８】また、実施例の車載用機器の通信システム
２０では、コンソールスイッチ５４とインテグレーショ
ンパネル５２とに赤外線送受信部を各々設け、双方向送
受信可能なものとして説明したが、コンソールスイッチ
５４からインテグレーションパネル５２へのコンソール
スイッチ５４のスイッチ状態を送信するだけに用いるも
のとすれば、コンソールスイッチ５４に赤外線放射素子
のみを有する赤外線送信部を設けると共にインテグレー
ションパネル５２に赤外線受光素子のみを有する赤外線
受信部を設けるものとしてもよい。このように、車載用
機器から操作部に向けて信号を送信するだけに用いるも
のとすれば、車載用機器に赤外線放射素子のみを有する
赤外線送信部を設けると共に操作部に赤外線受光素子の
みを有する赤外線受信部を設けるものとしてもよい。
２０では、コンソールスイッチ５４とインテグレーショ
ンパネル５２とに赤外線送受信部を各々設け、双方向送
受信可能なものとして説明したが、コンソールスイッチ
５４からインテグレーションパネル５２へのコンソール
スイッチ５４のスイッチ状態を送信するだけに用いるも
のとすれば、コンソールスイッチ５４に赤外線放射素子
のみを有する赤外線送信部を設けると共にインテグレー
ションパネル５２に赤外線受光素子のみを有する赤外線
受信部を設けるものとしてもよい。このように、車載用
機器から操作部に向けて信号を送信するだけに用いるも
のとすれば、車載用機器に赤外線放射素子のみを有する
赤外線送信部を設けると共に操作部に赤外線受光素子の
みを有する赤外線受信部を設けるものとしてもよい。
【００２９】実施例の車載用機器の通信システム２０で
は、インテグレーションパネル５２はサイドミラー５０
やコンソールスイッチ５４，リヤヒータコントローラ５
６と通信するもの、即ち一つの操作部と複数の車載用機
器との間で通信するものを例示したが、逆に複数の操作
部と一つの車載用機器との間で通信するものに適用して
もよい。例えば、ヒーターコントロールパネル４０とエ
アコンユニット３０との間の通信とリヤヒータコントロ
ーラ５６とエアコンユニット３０との間の通信とを同時
に行なうものとしても差し支えない。

やコンソールスイッチ５４，リヤヒータコントローラ５
６と通信するもの、即ち一つの操作部と複数の車載用機
器との間で通信するものを例示したが、逆に複数の操作

ーラ５６とエアコンユニット３０との間の通信とを同時
に行なうものとしても差し支えない。

Claims (7)
- 【請求項１】 車両に搭載される車載用機器と該車載用
機器を制御する操作部との通信を行なう車載用機器の通
信システムであって、 前記操作部に接続され、赤外線通信により信号を送信可
能な赤外線信号送信手段と、 前記車載用機器に接続され、前記赤外線信号送信手段に
より送信された信号を受信可能な赤外線信号受信手段と
を備える車載用機器の通信システム。 - 【請求項２】 前記赤外線信号送信手段により送信され
る信号は、前記車載用機器の駆動の開始，駆動状態の変
更，駆動の停止などの車載用機器の駆動制御に関する信
号の少なくとも一部を含む請求項１記載の車載用機器の
通信システム。 - 【請求項３】 請求項１または２記載の車載用機器の通
信システムであって、 前記車載用機器に接続され、赤外線通信により信号を送
信可能な第２の赤外線信号送信手段と、 前記操作部に接続され、前記第２の赤外線信号送信手段
により送信された信号を受信可能な第２の赤外線信号受
信手段とを備える車載用機器の通信システム。 - 【請求項４】 前記第２の赤外線信号送信手段により送
信される信号は、前記車載用機器の駆動状態に関する信
号の少なくとも一部を含む請求項３記載の車載用機器の
通信システム。 - 【請求項５】 車両に搭載される車載用機器と該車載用
機器を制御する操作部との通信を行なう車載用機器の通
信システムであって、 前記車載用機器に接続され、赤外線通信により信号を送
信可能な赤外線信号送信手段と、 前記操作部に接続され、前記赤外線信号送信手段により
送信された信号を受信可能な赤外線信号受信手段とを備
える車載用機器の通信システム。 - 【請求項６】 請求項１ないし５いずれか記載の車載用
機器の通信システムであって、 前記車載用機器は、空調機器であり、 前記操作部は、車室内に取り付けられてなる車載用機器
の通信システム。 - 【請求項７】 請求項１ないし６いずれか記載の車載用
機器の通信システムであって、 前記車載用機器は複数の機器であり、 前記車載用機器に接続された対応する赤外線信号送信手
段または赤外線信号受信手段は、前記複数の機器に各々
接続された複数の赤外線信号送信手段または赤外線信号
受信手段である車載用機器の通信システム。
