Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 中性で熟成された疎水性オルガノシリケート変性シリカゲルを製造する方 法であって、次の工程: (A)(i)ミリリットルにつき2〜50重量%のSiO2および(ii)1〜50重量%の式 R1SiO3/2により表されるオルガノシリケート(前式中R1は1〜6の炭素原子を含む 一価の炭化水素基である)を含むオルガノシリケート変性シリカヒドロゾルを、 1より低いpHでかつ20〜250℃の範囲内の温度で強い鉱酸と接触させて、オルガノ シリケート変性シリカヒドロゲルを形成する工程、 (B)該オルガノシリケート変性シリカヒドロゲルをpH3.5〜pH8の範囲内のpHで 熟成させる工程、および (C)前記のオルガノシリケート変性シリカヒドロゲルを、(1)触媒量の強酸およ び(2)式R2 aHbSiX4-a-bにより表されるオルガノシランおよび式R2 nSiO(4-n)/2に より表されるオルガノシロキサン(前式中各R2は1〜12の炭素原子を含む炭化水 素基および1〜12の炭素原子を含む有機官能性炭化水素基より独立に選択され、 各Xはハロゲンおよび1〜12の炭素原子を含むアルコキシ基より独立に選択され、 a=0,1,2,または3、b=0または1、a+b=1,2または3、但しb=1のときはa+b=2また は3、nは2〜3の整数である)より選択される有機ケイ素化合物と混合し、乾燥状 態で測定して100m2/g〜750m2/gの範囲内の表面積を有する疎水性のオルガノシリ ケート変性シリカヒドロゲルを形成する工程、から成る前記の方法。 2. 工程(B)の熟成は0〜250℃の範囲内の温度で10分〜76時間行われる請求項1 に記載の方法。 3. 工程(C)の実施の前に、工程(B)のオルガノシリケート変性シリカヒドロゲ ルをせん断することを含む請求項1に記載の方法。 4. 工程(C)において触媒量の強酸は2.5より低いpHを与える請求項1に記載の 方法。 5. 工程(C)の混合は30〜150℃の範囲内の温度で行われる請求項1に記載の方 法。 6. 疎水性のオルガノシリケート変性シリカヒドロゲルを、水と混合しない十 分量の有機溶媒と接触させて該疎水性のオルガノシリケート変性シリカヒドロゲ ルを疎水性のオルガノシリケート変性シリカオルガノゲルに転化させることを更 に含む請求項1に記載の方法。 7. 工程(C)の混合の間に、有機ケイ素化合物とオルガノシリケート変性シリ カヒドロゲルとの反応を促進する界面活性剤を存在させることを含む請求項1に 記載の方法。 8. 工程(C)の混合の間に、有機ケイ素化合物とオルガノシリケート変性シリ カヒドロゲルとの反応を促進する水と混合する溶媒を存在させることを含む請求 項1に記載の方法。 9. 該オルガノシリケート変性ヒドロゲルを、セリウムおよび鉄の水溶性化合 物から成る群より選択される有効量の熱安定剤と混合することを更に含む請求項 1に記載の方法。 10.請求項1,3,6および9に記載の方法により製造された疎水性のオルガノシ リケート変性シリカゲル。
