【発明の詳細な説明】

【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は一般に、繊条構造物
を製造する方法、より詳しくは、天然の毛髪に似た特性
を有する合成毛髪(synthetic hair)に関する。

【従来の技術】近年、合成毛髪は、禿げた箇所を覆い隠
す代替物として多大な関心を集め始めている。合成毛髪
は、主として、染色したナイロンまたはシルクに基づい
ている。
【０００３】しかしながら、これらの慣用されている合
成毛髪は、周囲条件(environmentalconditions)に暴さ
れたとき、耐磨耗性が乏しくなる傾向がある。「耐磨耗
性(wear resistance)」という用語は、周囲条件に暴さ
れたときに、ナイロンまたはシルク表面からの染料脱離
耐性の程度を意味する。慣用されている合成毛髪の実質
的部分は、周囲条件に暴された後、２〜３月未満ですり
減る傾向があることが見い出されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明の方法は、合成
毛髪の状態の耐磨耗性を改善することにより上記問題を
解決するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は、付け毛(toupe
e)を製造するのに有用な合成毛髪を製造する方法に関
し、該方法は、直径０．０９ｍｍを有するモノフィラメ
ントナイロン６マットを、０．５重量％二酸化チタンお
よび０．３７重量％炭化カルシウムに混合すること；お
よび該組成物を１５０℃で加熱すること、を包含する。
【０００６】所望ならば、本発明方法における合成毛髪
組成物は、異なる着色剤で染色することを更に包含す
る。

【発明の実施の形態】本発明により製造される合成毛髪
の非限定的な例を、次に示す。合成毛髪は、４９〜５７
デニール、強度６〜８ｇｍ／デニール、伸び(elongatio
n)３５−４８％、および殆ど０％の収縮を有する付け毛
(toupee)を製造するのに有用である。
【０００８】上述の特性から、出願人は、合成毛髪組成
物中の二酸化チタンおよび炭化カルシウムの存在が、合
成毛髪の製造を有意に改善するという予想外の発見を為
したことが判る。
【０００９】他の実施態様および実施は柔軟であり、そ
れらの全てが添付の特許請求の範囲の範囲内にあること
が当業者に明らかである。

【発明の効果】本発明方法の１つの利点は、高湿度の条
件下であっても堅牢に染色されるその特性である。
【００１１】本発明方法の更に他の利点は、使用される
合成毛髪組成物の寿命の安定性である。
