Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.検知領域内の物体の存在を検知するための容量性センサにおいて、 接地面と、 前記接地面上に配置された第1絶縁層と、 前記第1絶縁層上に配置されたガード層と、 前記ガード層上に配置された第2絶縁層と、 前記第2絶縁層上に配置されたタッチ板と、 励起信号を前記タッチ板に供給する発振手段と、 前記ガード層と前記全治面との間のキャパシタンスが前記タッチ板と前記接地 面との間のキャパシタンスを実質的に相殺するように、前記ガード層に励起信号 を供給するための励起手段と、 を備えてなることを特徴とするセンサ。 2.前記励起手段が前記タッチ板を前記ガード層から電気的に絶縁するバッファ 増幅器からなることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項に記載のセンサ。 3.前記センサからの出力電圧の振幅の変化を測定する手段を更に備えたととも に、検知領域内の物体の存在が前記手段を用いて検知されることを特徴とする請 求の範囲第1項に記載のセンサ。 4.前記センサからの出力電圧の振幅の変化を測定する手段と、前記センサから の出力電圧の位相の変化を測定する手段とを更に備えたとともに、検知領域内の 物体の存在が前記手段を用いて検知されることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項に 記載のセンサ。 5.前記接地面の大きさが少なくとも前記ガード層と同じであり、あらゆる寸法 で該ガード層を越えて拡張していることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項に記載の センサ。 6.前記第1絶縁層の大きさが少なくとも前記ガード層と同じであることを特徴 とする請求の範囲第1項に記載のセンサ。 7.前記ガード層が前記タッチ板とほぼ同サイズであることを特徴とする請求の 範囲第1項に記載のセンサ。 8.前記タッチ板と前記ガード層トガ導電性であり、厚さが0.1−10ミル (mil)の間であることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項に記載のセンサ。 9.前記発振手段が10kHz−10MHzの周波数の正弦波、方形波、または ランプ波形を発生することを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項に記載のセンサ。 10.検知領域内の物体の存在を検知する容量性センサにおいて、 接地面と、 前記接地面上に配置された第1絶縁層と、 前記第1絶縁層上に配置されたガード層と、 前記ガード層上に配置された第2絶縁層と、 前記第2絶縁層上に配置されたタッチ板と、 前記センサと並列のインダクタ、とを備えてなり、前記インダクタおよび前記 センサが前記センサを励振する発振手段を形成することを特徴とするセンサ。 11.前記センサからの出力電圧の振幅数の変化を測定する手段を更に備えたと ともに、検知領域内の物体の存在が前記手段を用いて検知されることを特徴とす る請求の範囲第10項に記載のセンサ。 12.前記センサからの出力電圧の周波数の変化を測定する手段を更に備えたと ともに、検知領域内の物体の存在が前記手段を用いて検知されることを特徴とす る請求の範囲第10項に記載のセンサ。 13.前記センサからの出力電圧の周波数の変化を測定する前記手段がマイクロ プロセッサからなることを特徴とする請求の範囲第12項に記載のセンサ。 14.前記接地面の大きさが少なくとも前記ガード層と同じであり、あらゆる寸 法で該ガード層を越えて拡張していることを特徴とする請求の範囲第10項に記 載のセンサ。 15.前記第1絶縁層の大きさが少なくとも前記ガード層と同じであることを特 徴とする請求の範囲第10項に記載のセンサ。 16.前記ガード層が前記タッチ板とほぼ同サイズであることを特徴とする請求 の範囲第10項に記載のセンサ。 17.前記タッチ板と前記ガード層トガ導電性であり、厚さが0.1−10ミル (mil)の間であることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項に記載のセンサ。 18.検知領域内の物体の存在を検知する方法において、 接地面を備えるステップと、 前記接地面上に第1絶縁層を配置するステップと、 前記第1絶縁層上にガード層を配置するステップと、 前記ガード層上に第2絶縁層を配置するステップと、 前記第2絶縁層上にタッチ板を配置するステップと、 発振手段によって前記タッチ板を励振するステップと、 前記ガード層と前記全治面との間のキャパシタンスが前記タッチ板と前記接地 面との間のキャパシタンスを実質的に相殺するように、前記励振手段によって前 記ガード層を励起するステップと、 からなることを特徴とする方法。 19.前記励起手段として前記タッチ板を前記ガード層から電気的に絶縁するバ ッファ増幅器を選択するステップを更に含むことを特徴とする請求の範囲第18 項に記載の方法。 20.検知領域内に物体が存在することを判定するために、前記センサからの出 力電圧の振幅の変化を測定するステップを更に含むことを特徴とする請求の範囲 第18項に記載の方法。 21.検知領域内に物体が存在することを判定するために、前記センサからの出 力電圧の振幅と位相の変化を測定するステップを更に含むことを特徴とする請求 の範囲第18項に記載の方法。 22.検知領域内の物体の存在を検知する方法において、 接地面を備えるステップと、 前記接地面上に第1絶縁層を配置するステップと、 前記第1絶縁層上にガード層を配置するステップと、 前記ガード層上に第2絶縁層を配置するステップと、 前記第2絶縁層上にタッチ板を配置するステップと、 前記センサと並列にインダクタを配置し、かつ前記インダクタと前記センサと によって形成された発振手段によって前記センサを励振するステップと、 からなることを特徴とする方法。 23.検知領域内に物体が存在することを判定するために、前記センサからの出 力電圧の振幅の変化を測定するステップを更に含むことを特徴とする請求の範囲 第22項に記載の方法。 24.検知領域内に物体が存在することを判定するために、前記センサからの出 力電圧の周波数の変化を測定するステップを更に含むことを特徴とする請求の範 囲第22項に記載の方法。 25.前記センサからの出力電圧の周波数の変化を測定する前記ステップをマイ クロプロセッサを使用して行うことを特徴とする請求の範囲第24項に記載の方 法。
