- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.近位端及び遠位端と、並びに近位端及び遠位端間に延びる中心管腔であっ て近位端に開口部を有する中心管腔とを有する、可撓性細長管状体と; この管状体の遠位端上の拡張可能な部材であって、この遠位端が中心管腔と液 体連通する拡張可能な部材と; この管状体上の出入開口部であって、中心管腔と液体連通して、出入開口部を 加圧することにより前記拡張可能な部材を作動させる、この管状体上の出入開口 部と; この管状体の表面に対して密封するシーラー部分を有する密封部材であって、 前記密封部材の前記部分が2つの位置の間の管状体の前記表面に対して可動性で 、その位置の1つが前記拡張可能な部材の作動を維持するために前記出入開口部 を通って、前記拡張可能な部材への又はそこからの液体の流れを遮断する位置で 前記表面と接触してシーラー部分を配置し、他方の位置が前記拡張可能な部材の 作動又は脱作動を可能にする出入開口部を通って前記拡張可能な部材への又はそ こからの液体の流れを可能にする位置にシーラー部分を配置する密封部材、とを 含むバルブ。 2.前記密封部材は管状体の近位端から伸びる部分を有し、延長部分での近位 縦方向力の適用は管腔内のシーラー部分の近位移動を引き起こし、前記延長部分 の遠位縦方向力の適用は管腔内のシーラー部分の遠位移動を引き起こす請求の範 囲第1項に記載のバルブ。 3.前記シーラー部分は高分子材料から形成される請求の範囲第1項に記載の バルブ。 4.前記シーラー部分はPebax(登録商標)、C−Flex(登録商標)又 はシリコーンから成る群から選択される材料から一部分形成される請求の範囲第 3項に記載のバルブ。 5.前記シーラー部分は10気圧までの圧力に耐え、このシーラー部分は出入 開口部の遠位に位置する場合に、実質的にすべての液体がこの出入開口部を通っ てバルーンへ又はそこから流れないようにし得る請求の範囲第1項に記載のバル ブ。 6.前記シーラー部分は10気圧の圧力で10回のバルブ開閉サイクルを経て 、さらに、このシーラー部分は出入開口部の遠位に位置する場合に、実質的にす べての液体がこの出入開口部を通ってバルーンへ又はそこから流れないようにし 得る請求の範囲第5項に記載のバルブ。 7.少なくとも一部分の前記密封部材は、ニチノール、ステンレススチール、 Elgilog(登録商標)又はそれらの組合せから選択される金属から形成さ れる請求の範囲第1項に記載のバルブ。 8.前記管状体の外径は前記密封部材のあらゆる部分又はシーラー部分の外径 より大きい請求の範囲第1項に記載のバルブ。 9.前記管状体の外径は、0.038インチ以下である請求の範囲第8項に記 載のバルブ。 10.前記管状体の外径は、0.020インチ以下である請求の範囲第9項に 記載のバルブ。 11.前記管状体の外径は、0.014インチ以下である請求の範囲第10項 に記載のバルブ。 12.前記開口部からの前記密封部材の撤収を防止するための確動停止装置を さらに備えた請求の範囲第1項に記載のバルブ。 13.前記シーラー部分を動かすために延長部分に適用されねばならない縦方 向力を増大させる力増大構造をさらに備えた請求の範囲第2項に記載のバルブ。 14.前記バルブを収納し得る、そして拡張可能な部材を拡張するための加圧 液の導入のための液密封室を提供する膨張アダプタをさらに備えた請求の範囲第 1項に記載のバルブ。 15.前記出入開口部は前記管状体遠位端に対して近位の点の管状体に配置さ れる副出入口を備えた請求の範囲第1項に記載のバルブ。 16.前記出入開口部は前記中心管腔開口部である請求の範囲第1項に記載の バルブ。 17.中心管腔及び管腔と液体連通する副出入口を有する中空金属ガイドワイ ヤと; このガイドワイヤ上に取り付けられ、この副出入口を通って導入される液体が バルーンを膨張させるために用いられるように、中心管腔と液体連通する膨張可 能バルーンと; このガイドワイヤの表面に沿って滑るように取り付けられ、第一及び第二位置 の間で可動性であるバルブであって、この副出入口を通って膨張可能バルーンへ 、又はそこから液体が実質的に全く流れないように、前記位置の一方が前記中心 管腔を密封するバルブと、を含む装置。 18.前記中空ガイドワイヤは一次バルブを画定する外周を有し、可動性バル ブは一次バルブより小さい周囲を有する請求の範囲第17項に記載の装置。 19.前記中空ガイドワイヤは0.044インチ又はそれ未満の外周を有する 請求の範囲第18項に記載の装置。 20.前記可動性バルブは前記中空ガイドワイヤより実質的に大きい直径を有 し、前記バルブは前記中空ガイドワイヤの内面に対して密封する請求の範囲第1 7項に記載の装置。 21.カテーテル上の近位開口部を通ってカテーテルの膨張管腔中に移動可能 に挿入され得る密封部材であって、前記カテーテルは副出入膨張口及び副出入膨 張口と液体連通する膨張可能バルーンを有する部材と; 実質的にすべての液体がシーラー部分を通過しないように、管腔の部分の全周 と耐液シールを形成し得る密封部材上のシーラー部分であって、 シーラー部分が副出入膨張口の近位の管腔内に配置される場合は、自由な液体 経路が副出入膨張口とバルーンとの間に確立され、シーラー部分が副出入膨張口 の遠位の管腔内に配置される場合は、実質的にすべての液体が副出入膨張口を通 ってバルーンへ又はそこから流れない、シーラー部分を、備えた小断面バルブ。 22.膨張管腔への膨張開口部を有する近位端と、膨張管腔と液体連通する膨 張可能バルーンを有する遠位端とを備えた管を提供するステップと; 加圧膨張液を膨張開口部を通して導入して、バルーンを膨張させるようにする ステップと; 加圧液の圧力を低減させずに膨張管腔内で密封部材を動かすことにより膨張開 口部を密封し、この密封するステップを膨張バルーンを収縮させずに行わせるよ うにするステップと: 密封するステップの後に加圧液の圧力を低減させるステップと、を含むカテー テルバルーンの膨張方法。 23.膨張開口部と液体連通する膨張部材を膨張させるための膨張開口部を有 するカテーテルと; 膨張開口部と膨張可能な部材との間の液流を選択的に遮断するためにカテーテ ルに可動的に取り付けられる密封部材と; 前記カテーテル及び前記密封部材の少なくとも1つの上の指標であって、この 指標の位置はこの指標と膨張アダプタ上の対応する指標の整合により、膨張開口 部を膨張アダプタの液密膨張室内に置かれるようになっている指標とを、含む膨 張アダプタとともに用いるための小断面バルブ。 24.細長い管の膨張部分に膨張液を導入するための膨張アダプタであって; 前記管の部分を取り外し可能に保持するよう作用する保持部分を有し、前記の 膨張口を収納するハウジングであって;前記のハウジングが、 圧力下で前記液体を供給する膨張液の供給源と接続されるよう形成される膨張 入口と; 前記ハウジングの前記部分を取り外し可能に一緒に密封し、前記膨張入口と前 記膨張口との間に液体経路を提供し、それにより前記液体が圧力下で前記膨張口 に供給されるようにするシールと; 前記ハウジング上に取り付けられ、前記膨張口を通して液流を制御するよう前 記管内の部材を駆動させるアクチュエーターとを、さらに備えたハウジングを、 備えたアダプタ。 25.前記シールは一次及び二次ガスケットの整合及び接触により形成される 請求の範囲第24項に記載の膨張アダプタ。 26.前記細長管および前記ハウジング上に、前記膨張口及び前記小室の整合 を促す指標をさらに備えた請求の範囲第24項に記載の膨張アダプタ。 27.前記アクチュエーターは前記管部材を駆動するスライドパネルを制御す る請求の範囲第24項に記載の膨張アダプタ。 28.細長管の膨張口中に膨張液を導入するための膨張アダブタであって; 膨張口を備えた前記管の部分を収納するよう相対的に可動的に取り付けられる 一次及び二次部分から成るハウジングであって、前記ハウジングは膨張小室及び 圧力下で前記膨張小室中に膨張液を導入するための膨張入口を有し、前記膨張小 室が、取り外し可能的に前記膨張入口に対して前記膨張口を密封してその間に液 体通路を形成するハウジングを備えたアダプタ。 29.膨張液を膨張アダプタの上に取り付けられた膨張可能部材並びに膨張口 と膨張部材との間の膨張管腔を有する細長い管の膨張口に導入するための膨張ア ダプタであって; 前記管を密封して液密膨張室を作るよう構成されるハウジングであって、前記 ハウジングが膨張入口を有し、膨張入口と膨張口との間に液体経路を確立して膨 張性部材を膨張させ、膨張した膨張可能な部材を収縮させずに前記管から取り外 せるハウジングを備えたアダプタ。
