- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. ポリエステル強化部材のクロロスルフォン化ポリエチレンゴム化合物へ の接着性を改良する方法であって、 該強化部材をクロロスルフォン化ポリエチレンを含むレゾルシノール・ホルム アルデヒド・ラテックスに浸漬させる工程と、 該強化部材を乾燥させる工程と、 該強化部材を緊張下で温度、約149℃(300°F)ないし約218℃(4 25°F)で加熱硬化させる工程と、 該強化部材を上記ゴム化合物に接着させる工程と、 該強化部材ならびに上記ゴム化合物を硬化させる工程と、 を具備してなる方法。 2. 該ポリエステル強化部材がポリエステル・コードであることを特徴とす る請求の範囲1に記載の方法。 3. 該強化部材を約2ないし15重量%のポリメチレン・ポリフェニルイソ シアナートと約85ないし98重量%のトルエンとを含む予備含浸組成物で前処 理するとともに、該予備含浸組成物を約149℃(300°F)ないし238℃ (460°F)の温度で約1ないし2分間、緊張下で該強化部材に適用すること を特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載の方法。 4. 該レゾルシノール・ホルムアルデヒド・ラテックスが、レゾルシノール ・ホルムアルデヒド・プレポリマ−ニクロロスルフォン化ポリエチレン比が0. 08ないし0.66 (乾燥重量比)の範囲のものからなることを特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載の方 法。 5. 該熱硬化を約8ないし18ポンドのコード緊張下で約60ないし180 秒間行うことを特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載の方法。 6. 該クロロスルフォン化ポリエチレンゴム化合物がアルキル化クロロスル フォン化ポリエチレンゴム化合物であることを特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載の 方法。 7. ポリエステル強化部材のクロロスルフォン化ポリエチレンゴム化合物へ の接着性を改良する方法であって、 該強化部材をクロロスルフォン化ポリエチレンおよびアミン官能性ポリアクリ レートを含むレゾルシノール・ホルムアルデヒド.ラテックスに浸漬させる工程 と、 該強化部材を乾燥させる工程と、 該強化部材を緊張下で温度、約149℃(300°F)ないし約218℃(4 25°F)で加熱硬化させる工程と、 該強化部材を上記ゴム化合物に接着させる工程と、 該強化部材ならびに上記ゴム化合物を硬化させる工程と、 を具備してなる方法。 8. 該アミン官能性ポリアクリレートが分子量約5,000ないし20.0 00のものであることを特徴とする請求の範囲7に記載の方法。 9. 該アミン官能性ポリアクリレートが約50重量%のポリアクリレートと 約50重量%の水との混合物からなり、 総固形分に基づいて約2ないし20%の範囲で存在することを特徴とする請求の 範囲7に記載の方法。 10. 該クロロスルフォン化ポリエチレンゴム化合物がアルキル化クロロス ルフォン化ポリエチレンゴム化合物であることを特徴とする請求の範囲7に記載 の方法。 11. 請求の範囲1記載の方法で作られたポリエステル強化部材で強化され た硬化クロロスルフォン化ポリエチレンまたはアルキル化ポリエチレンゴム化合 物のマトリックスからなる強化ゴム体。 12. ポリエステル強化部材のクロロスルフォン化ポリエチレンゴム化合物 への接着性を改良する方法であって、 クロロスルフォン化ポリエチレンを含むレゾルシノール・ホルムアルデヒド・ ラテックスを該強化部材に適用する工程と、 該強化部材を緊張下で温度、約149℃(300°F)ないし約218℃(4 25°F)で加熱硬化させる工程と、 該強化部材を上記ゴム化合物に接着させる工程と、 該強化部材ならびに上記ゴム化合物を硬化させる工程と、 を具備してなる方法。
