Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 独立電圧源としてのシリーズレギュレータと、従属電流源と してのスイッチングレギュレータを有し、前記スイッチングレギュレータにより 高電力効率で大電流が供給されるとき、リプル現象が起こらないように、前記シ リーズレギュレータが所定の小電流を供給または吸収するような態様で、前記ス イッチングレギュレータが前記シリーズレギュレータに接続されている、混合型 レギュレータ。 2. 前記シリーズレギュレータによって供給されるか又は吸収さ れる小電流を感知して、前記スイッチングレギュレータが大電流を供給するよう に制御するための感知電圧を生成する感知手段をさらに有することを特徴とする 請求項1記載の混合型レギュレータ。 3. 前記感知手段は、前記シリーズレギュレータの出力端と負荷 の間に連結されたセンシング抵抗を含むことを特徴とする請求項2記載の混合型 レギュレータ。 4. 前記センシング抵抗の抵抗値は0.01〜10Ωの範囲であ ることを特徴とする請求項3記載の混合型レギュレータ。 5. 前記シリーズレギュレータは、 外部供給電圧を前記感知手段に供給するか、前記感知手段からの出力電圧を接 地に導通させる出力端回路と、 負荷側にかかる電圧を受け、全システムの利得を決定するように、受けた電圧 を分圧して出力する副帰還手段と、 外部供給電圧を分圧して基準電圧を生成する基準電圧生成回路と、 前記基準電圧生成回路の出力電圧と前記副帰還手段の出力電圧を受ける演算増 幅器と、 前記演算増幅器の出力電圧を受けて前記出力端回路を制御するベースドライバ とを有することを特徴とする請求項2記載の混合型レギュレータ。 6. 前記出力端回路はP型トランジスタとN型トランジスタとを 有し、 前記P型トランジスタは、そのベース端子が前記ベースドライバの出力電圧を 受け、そのコレクタ端子が外部供給電圧を受け、そのエミッタ端子が前記感知手 段に連結されており、 前記N型トランジスタは、そのベース端子が前記ベースドライバの出力電圧を 受け、そのコレクタ端子が接地され、そのエミッタ端子が前記感知手段に連結さ れていることを特徴とする請求項5記載の混合型レギュレータ。 7. 前記スイッチングレギュレータは、 前記感知手段にかかる電圧を受ける比較器を含む比較器手段と、 前記比較器手段から出力される電圧を受けるゲートドライバと、 前記ゲートドライバの出力電圧を制御電圧として受け、外部供給電圧に対応す る電流を供給する出力端回路と、 前記出力端回路から出力される電流を平滑して、負荷に平滑電流を供給する平 滑回路とを有することを特徴とする請求項2記載の混合型レギュレータ。 8. 前記平滑回路はインダクタを含み、前記インダクタの一端に は前記出力端回路の出力端が連結され、他端には前記負荷が連結され、前記イン ダクタは10〜1,000μHの範囲のインダクタンスを有することを特徴とす る請求項7記載の混合型レギュレータ。
