上記目的を達成するため、請求項１の車両用乗員拘束保護装置は、所定の駆動信号に応じて駆動されるモータと、前記モータとシートベルトを巻装するリールシャフトの動力を連結し、前記モータの駆動に応じてシートベルトの巻き取り及び引き出しを行う電動リトラクタと、前記シートベルトの装着を検出するシートベルト装着検出手段と、前記シートベルトの引き出しの完了を検出する引き出し完了検出手段と、自車両の速度を検出する車速検出手段とを備えた車両用乗員拘束保護装置において、前記シートベルト装着検出手段により前記シートベルトの装着が検出された場合、前記シートベルトが引き出され、その後前記引き出し完了検出手段により当該シートベルトの引き出しの完了が検出されたときに、前記車速検出手段により検出された自車両の速度が所定値以下ならば、前記電動リトラクタによりシートベルトの巻き取りが行われないように、前記モータの駆動を制御する制御手段を備えることを特徴とする。

【発明の効果】
以上詳細に説明したように、請求項１の車両用乗員拘束保護装置によれば、例えば駐車のために車両をゆっくりバックさせている時に（自車両の速度が所定値以下の時に）リールシャフトが正転しないので、乗員が後方を見渡している最中にシートベルトが巻き取り限界まで巻き取られることがなくなり、乗員を適切に拘束し、保護することができる。

Claims (1)

  1. 所定の駆動信号に応じて駆動されるモータと、前記モータとシートベルトを巻装するリールシャフトの動力を連結し、前記モータの駆動に応じてシートベルトの巻き取り及び引き出しを行う電動リトラクタと、前記シートベルトの装着を検出するシートベルト装着検出手段と、前記シートベルトの引き出しの完了を検出する引き出し完了検出手段と、自車両の速度を検出する車速検出手段とを備えた車両用乗員拘束保護装置において、
    前記シートベルト装着検出手段により前記シートベルトの装着が検出された場合、前記シートベルトが引き出され、その後前記引き出し完了検出手段により当該シートベルトの引き出しの完了が検出されたときに、前記車速検出手段により検出された自車両の速度が所定値以下ならば、前記電動リトラクタによりシートベルトの巻き取りが行われないように、前記モータの駆動を制御する制御手段を備えることを特徴とする車両用乗員拘束保護装置。
