Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a stable solid preparation containing gefarnate using a solid base as a carrier, by treating the solid base with an acidic substance to lower the surface pka value below a specific value. CONSTITUTION:The pka value of a solid base such as magnesium silicate, magnesium metasilicate aluminate, magnesium oxide, etd., is lowered below 9.3 by the treatment with an acidic substance, e.g. an organic acid such as citric acid, synthetic polymer such as polyvinyl alcohol, or a natural polymer such as gum arabic excepting monosaccharides, disaccharides and sugaralcohols. The objective stable solid preparation containing gefarnate can be obtained by absorbing gefarnate to the treated solid base.
