Abstract

Novel alpha -fluoromethyl- alpha -amino acids and esters have the following formula <IMAGE> in which R is a substituted C1-C4-alkyl group and R1 has the meaning of H or C1-C18-alkyl. The compounds can be present as acid addition salts. The compounds of the formula I, as well as their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts, are used as active compounds in medicaments which have a decarboxylase-inhibiting effect. Processes for preparing the novel compounds are described. [GB1602525A]
