1397339 Titanium alloys: heat treatment PECHINEY UGINE KUHLMANN 19 May 1972 [19 May 1971] 23703/72 Heading C7A An alloy product containing by weight:- 5.25 to 6.5% aluminium 1.5 to 3.5% tin 4 to 6 % zirconium 0.5 to 1.25% molybdenum 0.1 to 0.4% silicon less than 0.2% iron less than 0.25% oxygen the balance titanium is processed to provide improved mechanical properties characterized by a complete relaxation of residual stress by heating at 1025 to 1050 C quenching in air or oil, and annealing at 500 to 850‹C for ¢ and 24 hours.
