Abstract

1352346 Glazing AMERICAN METAL CLIMAX Inc 21 May 1971 [31 July 1970] 16299/71 Headings E1J and B1R A frame member comprises first and second portions 42, 43 connected by a stepped web portion joined to the central region of portion 42 and the side of portion 43. Shallow pockets 45, 46 and deeper pocket 47 are thus defined. A panel, e.g. of glass, is mounted between opposing vertical mullions by first placing one edge in the deeper pocket of one mullion and then pivoting the panel into the oppositely shallow pockets (Fig. 7, not shown). The panel is retained by a stop 50 and gaskets. Transom (24, Fig. 2, not shown) has a web 24c through which a panel supporting stud 62 extends. The ends of the transoms are cut away and supported on blocks (58, Figs. 1, 3 not shown) screwed to vertical mullions. Threshold member 33 is snapped fitted to a support.
