Abstract
1,228,605. Snap-action switches. ELEKTRO-PRAGA HLINSKO, NARODNI PODNIK. 6 Nov., 1968 [7 Nov., 1967], No. 52526/68. Heading H1N. A snap-action electric switch is constructed from a single flat sheet comprising a shackle 2 having a tongue 3 and a U-shaped frame 7 having a tongue 8, the sheet being bent at 6 by bending arms 7 and tongue 8 is connected to tongue 3. As shown, the end of tongue 8 fits into a slot 9 at the end of tongue 3. Moving contact 10 moves between fixed contact 13 and stop 14. An actuating member such as a bimetal engages bulge 5 and a pin of a control member is located in recess 12. A resilient foil 11 is connected between moving contact 10 and the supply. Shackle 2 may be reinforced by longitudinal pressed ribs, holes may be provided at points 5 and 12 and a bulge may be provided in shackle 2 or tongue 3 in place of stop 14.
