Abstract
1,094,822. Snap-action switches; switch contacts. N.S.F. Ltd. June 22, 1965 [June 22, 1964; June 25, 1964], Nos. 25712/64 and 26314/64. Heading H2B. The housing of a switch is made of resilient insulating material and has recesses 6 cooperating with projections 2d on a contact member 2 which can be assembled with the housing by temporary deformation of the housing. In one form, three contacts are mounted in such manner, the centre contact 2 supporting a pivoted change-over contact 3 acted on by a spring plunger 11 in a lever 8 similarly mounted in the housing. In a second embodiment, one contact has a divided inner end, each part carrying a pivoted contact co-operating with a fixed contact. The actuating lever moves plungers acting on the moving contacts so that in one end position of the lever both contacts are closed, in the mid-position one contact is closed and in the other end-position both contacts are open. The fixing projections may be formed in the housing and the recesses in the contacts.
