Abstract

981,485. Snap-action switches. N.S.F. Ltd. March 14, 1963 [March 14, 1962], No. 9784/62. Heading H2B. The operating lever 21 of a snap-action electric switch has pivot members 22 which engage recesses in the housing 16 forming the mounting bush of the switch. The lever 21 is inserted in the housing by passing members 22 through unobstructed portions 30 in the housing and twisting the lever through 90 degrees so that members 22 engage their recesses and the lever is held in position by a spring 25 in the body of the switch. A retaining plate 33 may also be used to keep the lever 21 in position.
