A cap for a bottle 1 comprises an outer crown 3 of relatively hard plastics, having an integral ring 4 used to retain an inner plug 6 of a softer plastics. The retaining ring 4 is passed through the plug 6 on assembly, and then bent radially outwards for welding over a flange 5 in the plug. [GB1188315A]
