992,116. Pipe fitting. WILLIAM KENYON & SONS (POWER TRANSMISSIONS) Ltd. June 19, 1962 [June 21, 1961], No. 22380/61. Heading F2G. A pipe fitting for repairing fractures or leaks in pipes and for other purposes comprises a pair of co-operating half cylindrical members 11 compressed around the pipe 12 by means of two or more nuts and bolts 13 passing through holes in the longitudinally disposed wedge-shaped flanges of the members 11 and C-shaped clamping members 14 engaging the flanges to keep the members 11 clamped together when the bolts 13 are removed. Sealing means (not shown) situated between the members 11 and between the members 11 and the pipe 12 are positioned in grooves (not shown) in the inner surfaces of the members 11. One of the members 11 can be provided with a screw-threaded through hole to receive a connection pipe. Specification 731,896 is referred to.
