Abstract

991,700. Boxes having article-holding lid. E. S. & A. ROBINSON L t d. April 11, 1962 [April 11, 1961], No. 13054/61. Heading B8P. A box comprises a collapsible body portion having side walls 3, front and rear walls 1, 2 and side flaps 4 and a collapsible tubular lid portion, adapted to hold articles, comprising lower and upper walls 9, 10, side walls 11 and end flaps 18, 19. The side flaps 4 support the lid in its dispensing position by co-operation of tongues 13 on the latter with slots in the flaps 4 and articles 22 within the lid are gravity fed and removed through finger openings 6, 17 in one of the side flaps 4 and lid respectively. End flap 19 and a further end flap (not shown) on lower wall 9 hold the articles within the lid and a flap 20 (Fig. 3, not shown) hinged to flap 19 at 21 lies within the body portion adjacent front wall 1 to form a hinge system for the lid. Fig. 4 shows the box closed, flap 18 being within the body portion adjacent rear wall 2. A panel 14 demarcated by perforations 15 may be removed for display purposes.
