991,003. Counting apparatus. ELMEG ELEKTRO-MECHANIK G.m.b.H. Sept. 21, 1961 [Sept. 21, 1960], No. 33918/61. Heading G4D. An impulse counter having a plurality of digit rolls 4, driving means 7 rigidly connected thereto, a bridge 10 rotatably mounting transfer pinions 8 for engagement and disengagement with the driving means 7, a resetting member 1 and a friction clutch connected between the bridge 10 and the resetting member, includes means 15 which exerts an additional disengaging force on the bridge 10 until, during resetting, the pinions 8 are only just still in engagement with the driving means 7. The means 15 may be a leaf spring, as shown, set for a limited movement. Other arrangements of springs with movement limited by stops and with actuation via a rigid lever, are also described.
