Abstract

1,101,948. Releasable fastenings. UNCAS MANUFACTURING CO. 27, June, 1966 [2, May, 1966], No. 28780/66. Heading E2A. Rings engaged in slots 41 in a velvet covered deck 40 and in an underlying support 15 are retained by a plate 18 sliding between the deck 40 and support 15. The plate 18 has holes corresponding to the slots in the deck and fingers 48 projecting into the holes so that in one position of the plate a spring urges the plate so that the fingers engage the rings and in the other position of the plate the fingers are disengaged. The plate 18 is connected to an operating rod by a bar slidable in an aperture in the support. A plate 20 also has openings corresponding to the slots in the plate 15 and rests between the deck 40 and the plate 18 to prevent the fingers 48 from bending upwardly. The deck is divided into three areas each with a retaining plate and operating rod.
