Abstract
987,221. Tractor power-lift mechanisms. I. A. W. PECK, and F H. SPICER. June 14, 1962 [March 17, 1961; June 15, 1961], Nos. 9857/61 and 21755/61. Heading A1P. The pivotal connection of the upper link of a three-point linkage to a tractor is adapted to be adjustable laterally of the tractor in order to counteract the forces on a tractor when an offset implement is used. A member 7 (Fig. 1) for supporting the upper link has bolts 8 engageable in a series of apertures 6 in a plate 1 which is fixed to the tractor. In an embodiment the member 7 has flanges through which bolts pass to engage in the apertures. In a further embodiment (Fig. 9) the adjustment is continuous by means of a screw with head 40 passing through a block carrying the connecting members 34 for the upper link. In further embodiments the link anchorage may be moved by a power operated mechanism, co-operate with a slotted bracket and clamp, or slide on a rod having a locking connection therewith.
