Abstract

1,128,193. Tractor power lift mechanisms. E. CONRAD. 17 Dec., 1965 [19 Dec., 1964; 4 June, 1965], No. 53629/65. Heading A1P. A tractor power lift linkage is adapted for the quick hitching of an implement by means of hooks 8 on the ends of the links and is characterized in that the hooks on the draft links 3 face upwardly and the hook on the upper link 6 faces downwardly. Associated with each hook is a locking pawl 9 which can be released by attaching chains 12 and 13 to the tractor body. Alternatively a manual lever having a ratchet and pawl mechanism is arranged to operate the chains. The bar 11 connecting the two arms 10 which operate the locking pawls of the draft links is adjustable in length to vary the distance between the draft links. Surfaces associated with the hooks are arranged to guide the implement bolts into the hooks. In an embodiment a spring-biased locking pawl is held in a retracted position by a lever which automatically releases pawl on entry of the implement bolt in the hook.
