A stack of plastics crates are held together by a rod extending through hollow ribs 4 whose bores extend through the bases of the cases. The ribs are preferably inwardly opening semi-cylinders which serve as drainage openings. The case may have an inwardly set bottom edge 1 which is received in a wider top edge 2 of a subjacent case. Windows 3 may be provided.
