[Also in Division A5] A back-supporting belt comprises an inflatable cushion 1, preferably formed as sections la and 1b to lie on opposite sides of the wearer's spine, secured round the body by tapes 6. The cushion and its backing sheet 2 of thermoplastic material are covered with canvas 3 to which the tapes 6, which may be elasticated, are secured. Canvas-covered strips 13, of e.g. mild steel, for location against the wearer's abdomen carry loops 14 adjustable along the tapes 6.
