[Also in Division B8] Liquid is dispensed from a can or bottle b by means of a plug valve having a barrel 8 rotatable to bring a duct 9 into register with a pipe 5 thereby dispensing liquid under pressure from the can; as the pressure in the can falls, the valve 8 may be rotated further to bring a vent duct 10, communicating with passage 11, into register with inlet pipe 7, the duct 9 and pipe 5 still providing a liquid outlet. A collar 12 rotatable with the plug engages a stop 13 in the venting position of the valve. The valve is secured to or formed with a screw cap 2. A relief valve may connect with the passage 11, or be located in the can base.
