Abstract

982,862. Hydraulic apparatus. HILL & CO. (TOOLS) Ltd. Jan. 30, 1964 [March 4, 1963], No. 8597/63. Heading F1P. The pressure of fluid within a closed hydraulic system (not shown) is first relieved through a union 10 connected to an outlet of the system and loading through a line 13 and a needle valve 13 to the air space of a reservoir 12 containing hydraulic fluid, air having collected in the system is then evacuated through a second outlet connected to a union 20 leading to the inlet of a vacuum pump 23 which discharges into said air space, liquid then flows from reservoir 12 through lines 15, 21, 26 and a diaphragm valve 27, to recharge the system and finally the liquid is repressurized by a pump 17 drawing through lines 15, 16 and discharging through lines 18, 11 and union 10; valve 13 being closed.
