Abstract
1,031,172. Pressure-relieving devices. SMITHS INDUSTRIES Ltd. March 2, 1964 [March 4, 1963], No. 8561/63. Heading F2V. [Also in Division F1] In a device for reducing hydraulic pressure pulsations in a pump delivery line, the pump delivery passes through an inlet passage 12 having a filter 15 and a square-edged constriction 18 dimensioned to produce predominantly turbulent flow, a chamber 21 having a sealed bellows 31 containing oil and air, and outlet passages 34 and 26. Expansion of bellows 31 is limited by a stop.
