982,795. Gyratory crushers. NORDBERG MANUFACTURING CO. Aug. 8, 1961 [Aug. 5, 1960; May 1, 1961], No. 28613/61. Heading B2A. [Also in Division F2] In a gyratory crusher having a crushing bowl supported by a tilting ring 5 provided with a conical steel surface 10 which opposes a complementary steel surface 4 on the main frame 1 of the crusher, one or each of the conical steel surfaces is provided with a weartaking liner or insert 20 of non-ferrous metallic material or of non-metallic material. The or each liner preferably comprises a number of conical segments. The non-ferrous material may be brass or bronze while the non-metallic material may be an epoxy resin, a neopreneimpregnated cotton or fabric provided with a hard wear-resistant surface, or a self-lubricating synthetic plastic material.
