Abstract

1286120 Clocks and watches E PIQUEREZ 29 Sept 1969 [27 Sept 1968] 47827/69 Heading G3T A timepiece casing has a member, e.g. a middle bezel 1, resiliently connected to a surrounding protective screen member 2 by an elastic ring 3, e.g. of rubber, mounted in grooves 1a, 2a in the members 1, 2. The screen 2 is preferably of a scratch-resistant material such as tungsten carbide. The middle bezel 1 may be formed integrally with the back plate of the casing. In an alternative embodiment an elastic shock absorbing ring 11, Fig. 3 (not shown) is interposed between a shoulder on the front edge of the middle bezel 1 and an overlying part of the screen 2.
