Abstract

981,716. Bottle &c. closures. KORK-NSEAL Ltd. April 9, 1963, No. 14224/63. Heading B8T. A sealing liner for use inside a screw cap 5 having a flat inside surface has a plane face 4 and a domed face 2, the domed face being provided with a concave depression 3 located centrally thereof. The breadth of the depression, which is in the shape of a segment of a sphere, is preferably half that of the domed face. The liner may be made from polythene, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl fluoride, polyvinyl alcohol, a polypropylene, a fluorinated hydrocarbon, a fluorohalocarbon, natural rubber or a synthetic rubber. Specification 817,415 is referred to.
