A flexible container closure cap comprises a crown 10 with a central portion 12, and a continuous plastics or rubber skirt 11 which has external grooves 15 therein which provide the skirt 11 with a capacity for outward expansion when pressure is applied to the cap portion 12, thus permitting removal of the cap.
