A movable outlet conduit on or for use in conjunction with pumps comprises a pipe 10 rotatably mounted in a bush 11 has a central bore 13 with a diaphragm 17 to prevent direct passage of fluid therethrough and at least two apertures 15, 16 located in the wall of the pipe, the bush having at least one longitudinal groove 18, rotation of the pipe causing the apertures to register with the groove when the conduit is " open " and with the smooth inner surface of the bush when the conduit is closed. In the preferred embodiment, a neoprene bush having a pair of longitudinal grooves surrounds a pipe having the shape of an inverted J while the diaphragm is formed by the base of an upturned metal cup 14. The outlet may be used with a hand-operated plunger pump adjacent the sink in a caravan or sailing craft.
