In a windscreen wiper mechanism a drive arm 11 is pivotally connected to a wiper blade 15 in order that the wiper blade may be rocked by a link 19, pivotally connected to the wiper blade and pivotally mounted at a point spaced from the pivotal axis of the drive arm. The blade thus moves from an approximately horizontal to an approximately vertical position during its oscillation, as shown.
