Abstract

1,021,131. Windscreen wipers. DUDLEYS (REDDITCH) Ltd. Jan. 22, 1965 [Feb. 7, 1964], No. 5357/64. Heading A4F. The windscreen wiper described in Specification 872,623 is modified in that the spring 46 pressing the wiper blade on to the windscreen is connected between the wiper arm 10 and an anchor member 29 on the driving spindle, and the relative movement between the driving and driven coupling members 14, 11 resulting from an increased resistance to movement of the wiper blade over the windscreen causes the anchor member 29 to move towards the pivot 34 of the wiper arm to relieve the pressure of the wiper blade on the windscreen.
