Abstract
1,230,936. Windscreen wipers. ANDERSON CO. 11 April, 1969 [25 April, 1968], No. 23792/70. Divided out of 1,230,935. Heading A4F. A windscreen wiper arm assembly includes a mounting head 36 having means, e.g. a splined socket 40, for connecting the head 36 to an oscillatable wiper shaft 44, said means being positioned between the pivotal connection 38 of the head 36 to an arm portion 30 and spring means, e.g. a pair of coiled springs 66a (Fig. 5, not shown) and 66b, connected to the arm portion 30, and a link 82 fastened to the spring means and pivotally connected to the head 36 at a point 86b to the rear and below the pivotal connection 38. The wiper blade 16 (Fig. 1, not shown) is pivotally connected to the arm 10 by a crank 52 (Fig. 3, not shown) forming part of a known drag link mechanism for swinging the blade relatively to the arm during the wiper operations.
