972,062. Photographic transfer-reversal procedures. KODAK Ltd. March 10, 1961 [Jan. 8, 1960], No. 838/60. Heading G2C. A sheet material comprises a layer containing development nuclei or nuclei-forming substances and also a compound of formula wherein A represents an alkyl or cycloalkyl group, and such compound may be used in the transfer process generally, as in the negative silver halide emulsion or in the transfer developer, to produce a positive, transferred, image of increased blackness. Use of three of these compounds is described in five examples, the first of which quotes mixings for emulsion and developer and then the sheet material which is of paper bearing a gelatin layer with colloidal silver sulphide nuclei and 1-n-butyl-1, 2, 3, 6-tetrahydro-1, 3, 5-triazine- 4-thiol therein, and also hypo, baryta and formalin. The second example replaces this thiol with the corresponding 1-tert-butyl-and the third with the 1-cyclohexyl-derivatives, and then Examples 4, 5 use the thiols of Examples 1, 2 respectively in the negative emulsions and not the receiving sheet materials.
