Abstract

971,638. Valves. E. H. GREEN. March 20, 1961 [March 30, 1960], No. 10026/61. Heading F2V. [Also in Divisions B2 and F1] A spray head for an aerosol valve, comprises a head 46 having a spray orifice 53 and a stem 48 which is telescopically received in a tubular stem 33 of the valve. A metering groove 56 is provided in the head stem 48 to form a metering passage with the valve stem. A shoulder 50 on the head engages the valve stem whereby depression of the head opens the valve to allow flow through ports 41 of the valve to the metering passage. The groove 56 is made of a size dependent upon the fluid to be dispersed.
