Abstract

978,374. Aerosol containers. REVLON (SUISSE) S.A. Feb. 26, 1963 [March 12, 1962], No. 7719/63. Heading F1R. An actuator sleeve 1 is adapted to receive an aerosol container including a valve stem 3, and to direct spray through an orifice 7. A cover 9, pivoted on the sleeve and in the open position maintained by a flange 9a and detent 14, acts as a directing nozzle. In the closed position of the cover 9 a nose 15 enters an aperture 16 and also engages the top of the container so that the actuator sleeve is held against downward movement. The cover 9 has a longitudinal opening to enable it to embrace the sleeve when closed as shown in Fig. 3. The orifice 7 may be flanked by air intake holes 17.
