969,840. Rotary filters. SCHWERMASCHINENBAU KARL LIEBKNECHT MAGDEBURG. April 2, 1963, No. 13059/63. Heading BID. A feed device for the cake-removing member of a rotary vacuum filter having a mechanically transmitted feed movement dependent on the number of drum revolutions is constructed such that the drum neck 10 of the filter drum 9 has a gear drive shaft 11 centrally secured thereto and on the free end of the shaft is located a pair of friction wheels 12, 14 connected by means of a transmission wheel 13 received by a bearing block non-rotatably mounted on the gear drive shaft, the friction wheel 12 on the driving side, which is under spring pressure, being mounted on the gear drive shaft so as to be non-rotatable but axially slidable, and the friction wheel 14 on the driven side, which carries a gear wheel 15a on its hub, being mounted loose on the gear drive shaft, the pair of friction wheels being connected through intermediate members 15b, 16a, 16b, to a draw spindle 17 which is connected through a coupling 8 to a draw rod 19 on which a scraper lever 23 mounted to be non-rotatable on a scraper shaft 26 is articulated.
