967,793. Floating containers. HYDROCONIC Ltd Sept 1, 1960 [Sept 1, 1959], No 29795/59. Heading B7A. [Also in Division B8] A floating fish container comprises a watertight cargo section 1 and a lower section 2 having permanent ballast 5 and holes 3 and 4 to allow water to enter and air to escape. Hatches 6 and 7 allow the cargo to be loaded and unloaded and eyebolts 17 and 18 allow a drogue and a similar container to be connected. A radar reflector 15 and identification number 16 are supported by a steel mast 14. A plurality of containers 22 can be disposed in the hold 21 of a stern trawler to be filled by a movable hopper 23 and handled by a travelling davit 19 and electromagnet 24, a metal plate 9 being disposed in the top of the container. The container is made of plastic reinforced with glass-fibre and strengthened by metal bands 11 connected to the plate 9 and a bottom plate 12. The container may be metal. Application No. 24278/60 and Specification 936,824 are referred to.
