1418841 Removable decks with container guides MITSUI SHIPBUILDING & ENG CO Ltd 30 Jan 1973 [31 Jan 1972] 4694/73 Headings B7A and B7S A cargo vessel has a hold between upper and lower decks in which there is at least one tweendeck 2, hatches one above the other providing access to the hold 1 through the decks above the lower deck. Each hatch in the or each tweendeck has a hatch cover or trolley 6 which moves on a track 4, 4<SP>1</SP> from a position over the hatch to a position between deck portions. Each trolley is provided with container guides 9 by which containers B can be guided into the space extending through the hatches when the or each trolley is positioned between deck portions.
