967,692. Securing railway rails. RESSORTS DU NORD S.A. July 5, 1962 [July 13, 1961], No. 25923/62. Heading E1G. The end 5 of a spring strip A which bears on the rail flange is of decreasing thickness towards its free edge. The other end 4 of the strip is located in a recess 6 in a plate 7 inserted in a wooden sleeper T, which is cut away at 1 to form a lateral abutment for the rail flange. For use with concrete sleepers, a second strip parallel to the tapered strip A and connected to its end remote from the rail by a loop portion pivotally mounted in a recess in the sleeper forms the lateral abutment for the rail flange. A grooved pad S is inserted between the rail base and the sleeper.
